What this site is for
The community-facing parts of the site provide a concise Year 2 description of what advanced, how the work connects to the strategic roadmap and where it is taking us next. The Faculty-wide page adds an annual evidence snapshot while deliberately avoiding the implication that every annual number is a strategic-plan KPI.
The lower sections of each portfolio brief are different: they are working material for lead review. They include the evidence behind the brief, proposed monitoring-record updates, and now a broader set of candidate indicators that can help shape Year 3 monitoring.
Evidence used
- strategic-plan project monitoring sheets and prior quarterly/annual updates;
- Dean's Executive Council, Faculty Council and Academic Staff meeting records;
- Faculty Affairs, Curriculum, Research and Graduate Studies committee records;
- Faculty and Staff newsletters and related communications;
- March 2026 Faculty and Staff engagement materials;
- program outcome, student experience, research, workforce and publication evidence retained in the frozen v0.4 evidence registry; and
- project/program/operational records contained in the reporting archive.
The formal Year 2 reporting boundary is August 31, 2026. Later material is used only when it reports an outcome from the completed period, corroborates work already underway, or describes next-cycle direction.
How the monitoring model is changing
The roadmap tells us what we are trying to change. Project evidence tells us whether the change is becoming real. Annual evidence tells us what we are seeing in the Faculty. Monitoring connects those layers so that we can decide what to sustain, investigate or adapt.
For Year 3, the goal is not to ask each lead to select three KPIs. The candidate-indicator tables deliberately mix implementation, experience/reach, concurrent outputs, longer-term outcomes and context/baselines. Lead review should help identify which measures are genuinely useful, which need better definitions, and which new measures should be developed.
Working design artifacts are retained under data/monitoring-architecture/ so the monitoring logic can be audited and reused in the future interactive system.
Using the briefs for slides
Each portfolio brief continues to provide a clean presentation view for screenshots and copyable formatted text for editing into an existing deck. The Strategic Plan Update page has a separate four-screen presentation summary designed for the 5–7 minute Faculty Council update.
